La météo : cours CE2 - Anglais

Introduction :

Lorsque l’on parle de la météo, on décrit la température, mais aussi le temps qu’il fait ! Et on peut associer cela avec les saisons.
Dans ce cours, nous allons donc réviser les expressions liées à la météo et aux saisons.

Rappel

On a vu en CE1 que pour demander le temps qu’il fait, on pose la question :

What’s the weather like? (ou What is the weather like?)

Pour répondre à cette question, on dira :

It’s + le temps qu’il fait.

Pour parler de la météo, on peut donner la température.

It’s warm.
$\rightarrow$ Il fait bon.

hot chaud anglais météo weather

It’s hot.
$\rightarrow$ Il fait chaud.

cold froid anglais météo weather

It’s cold.
$\rightarrow$ Il fait froid.

Pour parler de la météo, on peut aussi décrire le temps qu’il fait.

It’s sunny.
$\rightarrow$ Il fait beau.

Astuce

Le mot soleil se dit sun en anglais $\rightarrow$ sunny signifie donc ensoleillé.

cloudy nuage anglais météo weather

It’s cloudy.
$\rightarrow$ C’est nuageux.

Astuce

Le mot nuage se dit cloud en anglais $\rightarrow$ cloudy signifie donc nuageux.

rainy pluie anglais météo weather

It’s rainy.
$\rightarrow$ Il y a de la pluie.

Astuce

Le mot pluie se dit rain en anglais $\rightarrow$ rainy signifie donc pluvieux.

snowy neige anglais météo weather

It’s snowy.
$\rightarrow$ Il y a de la neige.

Astuce

Le mot neige se dit snow en anglais $\rightarrow$ snowy signifie donc enneigé.

stormy orage anglais météo weather

It’s stormy.
$\rightarrow$ C’est orageux.

Astuce

Le mot orage se dit storm en anglais $\rightarrow$ stormy signifie donc orageux.

windy vent anglais météo weather

It’s windy.
$\rightarrow$ Il y a du vent.

Astuce

Le mot vent se dit wind en anglais $\rightarrow$ windy signifie donc venteux.

On peut parler de la météo en fonction des saisons.

Rappel

Les quatre saisons sont :

spring $\rightarrow$ printemps ;
summer $\rightarrow$ été ;
fall ou autumn $\rightarrow$ automne ;
winter $\rightarrow$ hiver.

In spring, it’s warm. $\rightarrow$ Au printemps, il fait bon.
In summer, it’s sunny. $\rightarrow$ En été, il fait beau.
In fall, it’s rainy. $\rightarrow$ À l’automne, il pleut.
In winter, it’s cold. $\rightarrow$ En hiver, il fait froid.
